We can also generate networking opportunities and offer commercial representation via our partner services.
Fresca is one of the UK’s longest-established and largest fresh produce specialists in the UK, importing fruit and vegetables since the days of Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill. Our business benefits from a strong heritage and values that put people and service first. Fresca is made up of a number of subsidiaries, trading independently but making the most of the strength of the group structure. For this reason we have unrivalled access to services from our sister companies.
FreshPLUS is a service provider, primarily working in the fresh produce market in the UK. The Fresh Clear office is a self-contained space within the 17,000m2 FreshPLUS facility at The Fresh Produce Centre in Paddock Wood, Kent. Here our colleagues provide a menu of services for imported fresh produce. Ripening, packing, cold storage, quality assessment and cross-docking are all core offerings from this BRC AA+ accredited site.
The busy fulfilment centre houses 50 packing lines, 8,000 pallet spaces with flexible temperature regimes, rapid coolers and ripening for bananas, avocados, stonefruit and exotics. The SAP operating system integrates easily with EDI orders and ensures an efficient, well-managed service that’s available 24 hours a day if required. Our team has the benefit of a close working relationship and of physical proximity, enabling Fresh Clear to provide a comprehensive and co-ordinated third party solution for fruit growers and importers alike.
Network Fresh is another Fresca business, creating commercial openings for producers around the world. This company offers commercial representation; identifying and enabling opportunities in the UK and internationally, the team also help growers in their domestic market by providing complementary or out of season supply from like-minded producers. As a partner to Network Fresh, Fresh Clear advises on cost-efficient customs and logistics, fulfils customs clearance and commissions transport solutions.
For UK transport, Fresh Clear and FreshPLUS have a working partnership with haulier FreshLinc who have trucks and a permanent office at our facilities. Our scale with FreshLinc and other selected transport providers helps us to unlock significant savings for clients.
